Epic soap opera about Scandahoovians trying to survive on the lone prairie. Anything with Jessica Lange is worth checking out, and she certainly excels in this low-key portrait of a woman struggling with loneliness, her duties and her feelings.

If you have a bit of Scandinavian in you, you're sure to appreciate this.
